Jerich: "Very satisfied with my mare"

On Friday, the Preliminary Test for 7-year-old horses was on the schedule in the Young Horse Tour. German rider Laura Strobel presented Zulu GV, owned by Gestüt Vorwerk. The stallion won the Preliminary Test with a score of 75.615 percent: 8.0 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.8 for canter, 7.4 for suppleness, and 8.2 for perspective.

"Although he was a bit tired today and we had a few minor mistakes, overall it was a good round – it was only his third S-level dressage test," Strobel reported. "Overall, I could have ridden him a bit more forward." Zulu GV had already impressed in Achleiten last year – the development of the 7-year-old stallion is promising. "I’m extremely happy with his progress – he’s learned a lot in a very short time, especially in the pirouettes and everything related to higher collection. Zulu has very strong nerves and hardly gets distracted by external factors. He has great talent and can go far."

Second place went to Nice Touch W, presented by 27-year-old Swiss rider Charlotta Rogerson, with a score of 73.161 percent (trot: 8.0; walk: 7.8; canter: 8.5; suppleness: 7.2; perspective: 8.0). Finest Edition and Nicole Berghofer finished in third place with 67.600 percent (trot: 7.4; walk: 7.0; canter: 7.0; suppleness: 6.0; perspective: 6.4).
