Young Rider: Double victory for Bodyguard and Jöbstl

After the team test on Friday, the duo Florentina Jöbstl and Bodyguard 49 also won the individual test.

And again the two delivered a round beyond the 70 percent mark with a score of 71.147. "It felt very good again today, we had many highlights and I'm happy that we get on so well in the arena," said 18-year-old Florentina Jöbstl, who successfully completed her Matura at the Maria Regina private high school in Vienna on Monday. "Now I can fully concentrate on the home European Championships in St. Margarethen, it's my first year in the higher age group, so I'm very happy that the transition went so well."

As on the previous day, Leon Aschauer took second place with his Formidable (69.914 percent). "The warm-up went much better today than yesterday. Formidable is always very environmentally oriented here in Achleiten. It is wonderful to ride here in the castle park, but with the bushes and wooden stands it seems to be too close to the arena for my gelding. But today he stayed with me very well. I am very happy that we delivered," said the 21-year-old, who is studying economics and social sciences in Vienna. "I have my final exam on June 24th and then it's not long until the Euro in Carinthia. We are all looking forward to that very much."

From 16 to 21 July, the European Championships Young Rider & U25 Dressage will take place at home in St. Margarethen near Wolfsberg.
