Young horses show great potential again

On the second day of the four-star event in Achleiten, the duos of the young horse tours again showed strong performances. Peter Gmoser presented Don Jon. The approved Oldenburg stallion received 79.186 percent and won the tour for seven-year-olds. „In trot all the criteria were fulfilled, which was very good. In walk it was similar, also the transition was very good. In canter one would have wished for a bit more work from the hind leg," was the jury's opinion. "The horse is on the right track. Partner and horse have found each other."

Second place went to Melanie Tewes (GER) with Caracciola. The Holstein grey stallion from Gestüt Vorwerk (Vorwerk Stud) showed his potential once again and scored 75.829 percent. Bettina Kendlbacher with Don Alfredo (74.900 percent) took third place. Wolfgang Himsl achieved strong 72.715 percent with Duracao, the horse of hostess Elisabeth Max-Theurer. Martin Hauptmann and Don Frederico's Wolkenkratzer scored 71.929 percent.

In the tour for six-year-olds another horse from Gestüt Vorwerk (Vorwerk Stud) was outstanding: Eyleen 20, presented by Yvonne Kläne (GER), convinced the judges with a score of 81.600 percent. The Australian Simone Pearce set a new Australian record in the tour for five-year-olds: With Diamond First she received 89.400 percent. The Austrians were also highly rated: Martin Hauptmann and Dark Knight Rises achieved 78.800 percent, Giulia Schwab and Faberge 78.600 percent.
