Vergissmeinnicht wins Final Test for 6yo horses

With a convincing performance in the FEI Final Test for six-year-old horses, Austria’s Sylvia Gugler and Vergissmeinnicht claimed victory on Saturday morning at the CDI Achleiten (CDI3*). The Austrian combination scored 81.500%, improving on their second-place finish in Friday’s Preliminary Test.

Second place went to the winners of the Preliminary Test, Laura Strobel (GER) and Shaya MT. Despite a few minor mistakes, the Gestüt Vorwerk rider once again delivered a harmonious test to finish on 79.900%. Third place was claimed by Pablo Gomez Molina (ESP) and Valentin YMAS with 78.801%.

Vergissmeinnicht impressed the judges with consistently strong marks across all assessment criteria, receiving 8.0 for trot, 8.2 for walk, 8.6 for canter, 7.9 for submission and 8.3 for future perspective.

Sylvia Gugler also expressed her satisfaction after her victory: “The atmosphere here is simply incredible and organized with so much love—it really warms a rider’s heart. But our success today was also truly extraordinary; my mare gave it her all in the arena. I’m especially pleased with the flying changes. But I’m also taking away a lot from these two competitions: Above all, I still need to execute the transitions a bit more precisely. We’re on the right track, and that makes me very optimistic about the future.”
