“The CDI Achleiten Experience”: Victoria Max-Theurer reflects on a successful event

CDI Achleiten II concluded on Sunday with an overwhelmingly positive outcome. From 23 to 26 July, riders and horses from numerous nations competed in the picturesque castle arena at Schloss Achleiten, once again showcasing dressage at the highest international level. At the same time, Victoria Max-Theurer celebrated a successful debut as event director, seamlessly continuing the long-standing tradition of world-class competitions in Achleiten.
One of the highlights for the multiple Olympian was the strong international response. Alongside many returning competitors, several riders visited Achleiten for the first time, further underlining the event’s outstanding reputation far beyond Austria’s borders.
“We’re delighted with this year’s event. We were especially pleased to welcome many riders to Achleiten for the first time. Together with our fantastic team, we once again succeeded in delivering a competition of the highest sporting and organisational standard. Receiving exclusively positive feedback confirms that we’re on the right track and motivates us enormously,” said organiser and multiple Olympian Victoria Max-Theurer.
A defining feature of CDI Achleiten continues to be the experience surrounding the sport itself. Alongside outstanding conditions for both horses and riders, countless thoughtful details contribute to the unique atmosphere of the event – most notably the traditional prize-giving ceremonies with the horses in the beautiful castle arena, giving each success a memorable and emotional setting.
