"Marathon woman" Laura Strobel again started a very intensive working day for her in the Intermediate I with two horses. Even though minor mistakes crept in due to the dense programme and the accompanying mental strain, the 30-year-old German rider took first and second place with Villeneuve from Gestüt Vorwerk (72.382 percent) and Max Theurer horse Diamond Of Eternity GV (67.912 percent). Third place went to Austria's Eva-Maria Trauner, who scored 66.147 percent with Stalina S.
"For Diamond it was the first Inter I today. Unfortunately we had some expensive mistakes inside, but he did really brave. Unfortunately there were also a few rough edges in Villeneuve's round - I was particularly annoyed with the expensive mistake in the right pirouette. We have been here for almost a week now, so you notice that your strength is fading a bit and that your concentration is not fully on point in all phases," Strobel analysed after the award ceremony.
Eva-Maria Trauner was happy about her third place: "We are very satisfied. It was a lot better than yesterday. We have ridden this many times, but it was rather on the lax side yesterday. Today we prepared very well and did our thing very well. We are very happy about third place. It was an instructive tournament for us. We can take a lot with us and are now preparing for the Upper Austrian National Championships."
