Star lineup in the Small Tour: Isabell Werth, Germany's most successful rider of all time with eight gold and six silver medals at the Olympics and nine world championship titles, secured victory in the FEI Prix St. Georges on Skovens Tzarina with 71.412 percent. The mare is owned by Victoria Max-Theurer.

Laura Strobel (AUT) came second with Diamond of Eternity GV (68.559%), while Nicola Baur-Rona (AUT) came third with Broadmoars for Gold (66.235%).

After her performance, Werth was satisfied with her sensitive partner: “The mare is very spirited, but she handled it really well today. She struggled a bit with the flies, but overall it was a satisfactory test for me.”

Skovens Tzarina, winner of the Burgpokal Final, is well on her way to the top class, according to Werth: “She has been in my stable for three years now. It took longer because she is very sensitive. The line between genius and madness was narrow – but now we are at a point where she is really participating.”

In addition to her role as a rider, Werth is also active as a trainer in Achleiten – and enjoys the tournament in a family atmosphere: “For me, it's a bit like a home game. I don't feel any stress here. It's just fun to test the young horses and see what they can do – tomorrow, Zeffirelli MT will be competing in the Grand Prix for the first time. Anything can happen.”
