Shaya MT and Strobel shine in the Six-Year-Old

The Young Horse Tour continued on the opening day of competition with the Preliminary Test for six-year-old horses. Laura Strobel (GER) and Shaya MT from Gestüt Vorwerk claimed victory with 81.400% (trot 8.0, walk 9.0, canter 7.8, submission 7.6, perspective 8.3).

Second place went to Sylvia Gugler (AUT) and Vergissmeinnicht on 80.800%, while Yvonne Kläne (GER) and Esplendido MT, also representing Gestüt Vorwerk, finished third with 80.200%.

“It’s only her third competition ever, so I’m very pleased with her performance today. Apart from one flying change that came down to a small misunderstanding, she did a really good job. She isn’t the bravest horse by nature and is rather introverted, so I’m especially happy with how well she handled the atmosphere today. Now I hope she has enough energy left for tomorrow so we can build on this performance and maybe even make it a little better,” said Laura Strobel.
