With Germany’s Yara Reichert claiming victory, the FEI Intermediate A concluded on Friday afternoon in the picturesque show arena at Schloss Achleiten. In the P3 Dach und Fassade Prize, Reichert and Force Majeure topped the field with 69.235%, finishing ahead of Austria’s Lea-Elisabeth Pointinger aboard Francesca de Medici (68.676%). Third place also went to Reichert, this time riding Special Diva 3 (66.588%).
It was a successful afternoon for the German rider. A harmonious and accurate test aboard Force Majeure earned her the win from the international judging panel, while she also secured another podium finish with Special Diva 3 despite a few minor mistakes.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be here. It’s my first time competing in Achleiten, and I have to say the atmosphere is simply amazing. Riding between the beautiful tree-lined avenues is something very special. On top of that, the conditions are excellent – the footing is fantastic and the entire venue is outstanding. I would love to come back,” Reichert said.
Looking back on her two rides, Reichert was pleased with both performances, even though they unfolded quite differently.
“Force Majeure gave me a really lovely feeling today. He was completely with me, and I was able to ride every movement exactly as I had planned. Special Diva, true to her name, was once again very ‘special’ and quite hot. After one mistake, however, I managed to bring her back, which is a big step forward for us because normally she would continue getting hotter. Overall, I’m really happy and very satisfied with both horses.”
