Max-Theurer ensures a successful start

On Thursday afternoon, under perfect weather conditions, the starting signal was given for the first of two 2025 dressage tournaments at Schloss Achleiten (June 12–15). In the idyllic castle park arena, local favorite Victoria Max-Theurer delivered an elegant ride in the three-star Grand Prix with L’Espoir, earning a respectable 70.326 percent from the judges.

“It was our first regular competition together – and for that, it was really presentable. It was an error-free round, even though we rode with some caution. We simply want to get to know each other better and improve from test to test. First, we’re aiming to build a solid foundation – then we’ll go on the offensive,” revealed the 39-year-old Upper Austrian.

The multiple Olympic participant has only been riding L’Espoir for about six months: “He’s incredibly lovable, motivated, and has hardly any weaknesses – if any at all. It was a lot of fun today, and I’m really proud. We’re going to continue taking time to get to know each other better, but he’s a little horse with a lot of potential and incredibly positive energy.”

Second place went to Juliane Jerich (AUT) with Quater Girl. The 36-year-old and her sport partner received a score of 66.478 percent.
