Junior team ready for the European Championship

Austria's young dressage team also presented itself in excellent form at the start of the European Championship qualifier at the CDI4* in Achleiten. Above all Paul Jöbstl in the Young Riders Tour.

The 19-year-old Styrian delivered a round with Bodyguard which was scored 73.824 percent by the top-class jury. "That's our new high score in this competition!" cheered Paul Jöbstl, a two-time bronze medalist at the European Junior Championships, who switched to the Young Riders class this year. "The whole season has already gone very well for us. He is great to ride and always wants to give everything. The triple changes and the strong walk were the highlights today, I can still work on the pirouettes."

Second place in the Young Riders Team competition went to Felicita Simoncic and Immowert's Ivar (73.235), third was Lilli Ochsenhofer Roi du Soleil MT (68.137).

Florentina Jöbstl was the best Austrian in the team competition of the juniors with her spare horse Coco Procol Harum. The 16-year-old sister of Paul Jöbstl missed the victory by 0.1 points. The German Capri-Marie Raum took the win on Echt Stark with a score of 70.454.

Florentina Jöbstl praised her 17-year-old sport partner: "Coco tried really hard, he was fresh and good to ride. My horse Floortje unfortunately had a slight injury, but is already on the road to recovery."
