he FEI Children Team class was the penultimate competition of the international dressage show (CDI4*) in Achleiten. After claiming victory the previous day, Nele Cordt once again demonstrated her excellent form on Sunday, delivering another convincing performance to top the leaderboard.

The 13-year-old rider from Vienna scored an impressive 78.450% with Fauntleroy, finishing comfortably ahead of Katharina Viktoria Krumböck and Farahnaz (73.150%) and Laura Blagusz with Felia 61 (70.775%). The result once again highlighted both Cordt’s current form and the harmonious partnership she shares with her horse.

Although the test was not entirely mistake-free, the winner was highly satisfied with her performance. “We had a few small issues, but we handled them very well together. I’m very proud of him,” Cordt said after her ride.

The young rider described the experience gained in Achleiten as particularly valuable. The arena, surrounded by numerous trees and shrubs, can be challenging for many horses. “What I take away from this weekend is that he stays calm and trusts me even in more difficult environments. That’s the biggest lesson we’re taking home,” she explained.

According to Cordt, the secret behind their success lies in mutual trust. “Working together is what matters. You form a team with your horse—you don’t work against each other.” With two victories in one weekend, the Viennese rider certainly left a lasting impression in Achleiten.
