With another impressive performance, Alexandra Vodermair (AUS) and her Hanoverian Exact secured victory on Saturday in the FEI Final for seven-year-old horses at the CDI Achleiten (CDI3*). Following their success in Friday’s preliminary test, the pair also took the top spot in the final with a score of 76.100 percent. Second place went to Brina Mihevc (SLO) with Bombiano, who scored 73.700 percent.

Exact once again impressed the judges with his natural quality and harmonious performance. They awarded an 8.5 for the trot, an 8.3 for the walk, a 7.8 for the canter, an 8.0 for suppleness, and an 8.5 for potential. Particular praise was given to the elastic trot with natural cadence, the expressive walk, and the promising prospects of the seven-year-old Hanoverian. Only in the canter and the lateral movements did the judges see room for improvement in terms of suppleness and back engagement.

Alexandra Vodermair was also pleased after her second victory in Achleiten: “I’m even happier than I was yesterday. He was absolutely amazing today—really fresh. The course was, of course, even harder today, but Exact was just right with me and we pulled it off. It’s just an incredibly great feeling. For us, this victory also comes with a touch of sadness, because the Young Horse Tour is coming to an end for us. Now he’s ready for the ‘big’ boys. The last few years have simply been a wonderful experience; I’ll always look back on this time fondly.”
