A strong performance marked the beginning of the second day of the international dressage tournament (CDI4*) at Schloss Achleiten. Four young riders competed in the FEI Children Preliminary B, with 13-year-old Nele Cordt and Fauntleroy claiming victory. Scoring 80.018%, the Austrian rider not only won the class but also achieved a new personal best.

Cordt and her equine partner impressed the judges with a harmonious and confident test. Katharina Viktoria Krumböck (AUT) and Farahnaz finished second on 73.572%, while Laura Blagusz (AUT) and Felia 61 took third place with 70.161%.

The young winner was delighted with her performance. “It is truly beautiful here at Schloss Achleiten. The venue is fantastic and I am very happy to be riding here. Everything went really well for us today. I’m especially pleased that we broke the 80-percent mark for the first time and achieved a new personal best,” said Cordt.

The Viennese rider has only been partnered with Fauntleroy since December. She attributes their rapid success to the trust they have built together. “We work so well together because we look after each other. I trust him completely, and he trusts me. That is the foundation of everything,” she explained. Cordt was particularly proud of the counter canter, a movement that had presented some challenges at previous competitions.
