Bacher and Fidertraum back at top level

In the four-star Grand Prix of the freestyle tour, two-time Olympian Florian Bacher claimed victory with Fidertraum OLD, scoring 70.848 percent: “I’m very pleased – after the longer competition break, Fidi is back in top form and now delivering consistently in the arena again. Today’s ride was a clear step forward – much more natural, fluent, and with the feeling that we’re picking up right where we left off. Now it’s all about finding rhythm through targeted competition planning and maintaining this high level,” said Bacher, who plans to carefully chart the upcoming weeks with his long-time equine partner.

“At 16 years old, he’s been performing at Grand Prix level without any breaks since 2018 – that shows how important health preservation and strategic training management are to me. Everything that comes now is a bonus – we’ve reached the European Championships, World Championships, and Olympics. That will stay with us forever and continue to connect us.”

Denmark’s Mathilda Koefoed-Nielsen and Odin Unik secured second place with 67.196 percent. Switzerland’s Carla Aeberhard and Delioh von Buchmatt received a score of 66.283 percent, rounding out the podium.
