Directly after the young riders, the FEI Young Horse Preliminary Test for 7-year-old horses was scheduled for Friday. Alvarinho GV from Gestüt Vorwerk, presented by the German Laura Strobel, showed his best side. The Westphalian won the competition with 75.825 percent: 8.0 for the trot, 8.2 for the walk, 7.8 for the canter, 7.8 for the suppleness and 8.4 for the perspective. With a score of 73.515 percent, Romeo von Fuerstenball and Aleksandra Szulc (POL) came in second.
"I am very satisfied. He was super relaxed, listened well and rode very relaxed. His focus was good and he was not very nervous today. An S-dressage is not always easy for a horse of this age," reveals Strobel, who has already presented Alvarinho GV in the Schlosspark square of Schloss Achleiten over the past two years: "In the last few months he has gained more strength in his body and more confidence in tournaments. His development has been really good and I would like to go towards the World Championships with him. He has a lot of talent, also in things (note: piaffe and passage) that will only come in a few years and he relies on me - that gives him a lot of security. I am very happy with how we have grown together."
