3 starts, 3 victories for Achleiten debutant Dorothee Schneider

Achleiten, part 3. The final of the summer trilogy of international dressage shows at four-star level in the Palace Garden Arena started on Friday with a Dorothee Schneider show.

3 starts and 3 victories – one in the Young Horse Tour, one in the Small Tour, one in the Big Tour – for the German master horsewoman and team Olympic champion.

"The atmosphere here in Elisabeth Max-Theurer’s Achleiten is stunningly beautiful. I have already been here for training a few times. Unfortunately I had never been able to make it to the international show due to scheduling reasons before," enthused Dorothee Scheider at the award ceremony for the Grand Prix of the Freestyle Tour.

The 51-year-old German won it in a sovereign manner with her 14-year-old gelding, Sammy Davis Jr. with 77.522 percent. "This performance was worthy of an A-squad horse, I am very happy about that," laughed Dorothee Scheider. "He was concentrated, fresh and fully motivated, there were many highlights."

Victoria Max-Theurer (Upper Austria), who competed in the Freestyle Tour with her 10-year-old stallion Rockabilly, was also very satisfied with 2nd place and 73.391 percent: "That was very neat without any major faults. We are getting safer from round to round."

4th place with 69.218 went to her life partner Stefan Lehfellner (Upper Austria) with Fackeltanz OLD, "Our first show in 6 months, that was a good start with many highlights after a long corona break. Fackel was nice to ride, the mistakes in the transitions were 100% on me.“

The other Austrian duos took 5th to 7th place with Timna Zach and Chico (68.674), Oliver Valenta and Valenta's Fantast (67.457) and Evelyn Haim-Swarovski and Delilah Royal (66.087).

On Saturday, two highlights await you: the Grand Prix of the Special Tour and the Grand Prix Freestyle. In the Grand Prix (from 9:30 am), Victoria Max-Theurer and her Abegglen will meet the two German top riders, Isabell Werth with Emilio and Dorothee Schneider with Pathetique.
