Brötzner claims victory with Bernini VMT

The FEI Junior Team Test was the second class of the day on day two of the international dressage tournament (CDI4*) at Schloss Achleiten, featuring five young rider combinations. Victory went to Sabrina Brötzner (AUT) and Bernini VMT, who topped the leaderboard with a score of 69.212%.
The Salzburg-based rider delivered a strong performance aboard Bernini VMT, a horse provided by Victoria Max-Theurer, to secure first place. Anna Bruckberger (AUT) and Quaters Diamond finished second on 67.697%, while Alessia Weyler (AUT) and Ferrero Noir claimed third place with 67.121%.
Brötzner was delighted with her performance after leaving the arena. “I’m really, really happy with my horse and my performance. He was in great form, very energetic, and I was able to ride him well. I enjoyed every minute of it,” she said.
Brötzner is trained by Olympian Stefan Lehfellner, who has closely supported the development of the partnership. Despite feeling nervous before entering the arena, she had confidence from the warm-up onwards. “I already knew it was going to be a good test because he felt so good during the warm-up,” she explained.
The winner was particularly pleased with the trot work, while identifying the walk as an area that still offers room for improvement. Overall, however, the focus was firmly on a successful result that could provide an important boost ahead of the upcoming European Championship qualification events. “This result was very important to me. If things go as well tomorrow as they did today, I’ll definitely take a lot of confidence with me.”
