Australian victory in the Freestyle

As narrow as the victory in the Grand Prix of the Freestyle Tour was for Australian Olympic rider Simone Pearce with Amadori the day before, her victory in the Freestyle on Saturday afternoon was just as clear. The 29-year-old rider from Melbourne danced to 76.45 percent and this time won clearly ahead of Austria’s Olympic team rider Florian Bacher and Fidertraum (73.895) and the potential Olympic participant Timna Zach with Cicho (73.725).

Conclusion of the reigning dressage national champion Florian Bacher, "The Grand Prix yesterday was a top performance with more than 73 percent, today it was rather a mediocre Freestyle. We rode it for the first time, but we can do better."

The last weeks with the achieved Olympic limit at the international show in Ornago, Italy, and subsequent forced quarantine due to a suspected case of herpes virus in Italy have obviously taken their toll. "I would like to thank Peter Gmoser and Belinda Weinbauer once again for allowing us to quarantine Fidertraum with them in Burgenland. There he was isolated from all the other horses, we were only allowed out once a day for an hour of training. Of course, this takes a lot out of him. Now Fider gets his well-deserved break before we come back to Achleiten the week after next for the compulsory show. There he will hopefully present himself in top form again!"

Speaking of top form: Timna Zach from Graz is currently on cloud nine because her current performances have even put her in the running for the Tokyo team. With Farant recently at the tournament in Munich and on Friday here in Achleiten she scratched the 72 percent mark in the Grand Prix. She also scored 73.725 percent in the Freestyle with Chico and took third place on Saturday.

"Yes, it's going really well! Tokyo would be a blast, but my dream for 2021 are the European Championships. We will keep at it and do everything to get better! With Chico, it was a wild ride yesterday in the Grand Prix and also today in the Freestyle after this long break from shows. He has so much temperament, I am extremely proud of him!"
